Favourite Scripture

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20)

The word of God is life. It transforms us. It informs us and gives us knowledge. We can say that God’s word is the bedrock of knowledge (e.g.,  (2 Tim 3:15-17).

Knowing God’s word benefits the individual, families and nations. The Bible is the word of God. People can know God’s word in three main ways: First, when they hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, when they study the Bible, and  thirdly, when God speaks to them through the Holy Spirit or other means of grace.

Jubilee Bible College was set up to bring God’s word to all people and to train more ministers of the Gospel, who will share this life-changing message in communities worldwide and plant gospel-centered churches.

Some challenges before us:

  • There are many people who have not heard the gospel  of Jesus Christ at all. What this means is that, if they were to die today, they will miss heaven and end up in hell fire.

  • Many people go to church but are not saved because they have not heard a  true presentation of the Gospel.

  • There are fewer true Pastors and teachers of the  Bible these days. We need more ministers of God.

  • There are many believers God has called into ministry but do not know what to do or how to start, this college will help such believers.

  • False ministers of the gospel are on the rise partly because some of these ministers have not received correct training in the word of God.

  • There are fewer churches these days, even many of them are being closed down due to poor church attendance.

  • In a missionary context, there has been a shift of the centre of Christianity from the West to the global south, Africa in particular. The question is, how faithful is Africa or Asia in spreading the gospel around the globe?

  • God expects the Church to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations before our savior comes back. How can  all these be achieved?

Some suggestions:

1. We need unity,  commitment, and sacrifice

2. We must pray  more and make intercessions for sinners

3. We need to train more ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

4. We need to spread the gospel and plant more churches

5. We need to support and sponsor the work of God financially.
